Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Leeds based office with flexible working.
Salary dependent on experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer, with the combination of excellent technical skills and strong interpersonal skills, to join our amazing team and support our portfolio of large public and private sector clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the company’s cloud infrastructure
• Work with the wider team to design, implement, administer and support cloud infrastructure solutions and services
• Automate the creation and upgrade of resources
• Ensure quality in information security, backups and patching, and mitigating cybersecurity threats
• Manage and monitor cloud deployments across our multiple instances, including enhancing and diagnosing issues
• Advise team members on best practice solutions
• Create and maintain documentation of processes and procedures

  • Working with customers on their requirements
  • Communicating complex technical concepts to colleagues
  • Challenging and influencing technical discussions and strategies
• Microsoft Azure deployments, integration and best practices
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • You can use and build automation for the deployment and upgrade of cloud resources. You ideally will have a working knowledge of Terraform.
• Information security
  • You can understand information security. You can design solutions and services with security controls embedded, specifically engineered with mitigation of security threats as a core feature. You can also review existing services on an ongoing basis with a view to improve security.
• Docker
  • Knowledge of Docker Compose and using cloud-hosted container repositories
• Experience following Agile working practices to continuously deliver solutions.
• Knowledge of ISO27001 Information Security Management would be an advantage.
